MOLDOVA
STORY GOES HERE
Moldova is a small land-locked country in Eastern Europe, north to Balkans, surrounded by Romania to the south-west, across the Prut river, and Ukraine to the northeast. Old monasteries, slumberous forests, endless hills, fair sky and friendly sun give a special charm to this country. People from Moldova are famous for their hospitality.
The country has a well-established wine industry. The history of wine production in Moldova is at least 4000 years old, beginning with the ancient Dacians. Like many of its Baltic next-door-neighbor, production spread and improved throughout the Greek and Roman eras. It has a vineyard area of 147,000 hectares, of which 102,500 hectares are used for commercial production. Most of the country's wine production is made for export. Many families have their own recipes and strands of grapes that have been passed down through the generations. Milestii Mici is a Moldovan wine producer with over 200km of underground roadways. It is registered in the Guinness World Records as the biggest wine collection in the world.
